For those who love to hike, there are more than 150 trails of varying difficulty levels to choose from. Local mountain schools offer not only classic high-altitude hikes but also numerous themed walks: from sunrise and sunset tours to orchid or herb hikes – the paths in Berwang and the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena lead to impressive waterfalls, mysterious mountain lakes, and numerous huts serving traditional Tyrolean delicacies. A highlight for the experienced is the ascent of Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, towering at 2,962 meters.

During the warm summer months, you can spend a day at the family-friendly Berwanger Bärenbad or cool off after a hike. Even without swimming weather, the Bärenarena is an experience, especially for children. Playgrounds for various age groups, a mini-golf course, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as a small snack bar invite you to linger and be active.
Walking down to the valley or taking the cable car? You know that already. Discover a new and fun way to travel from the Hochalm mountain station down to Berwang and Bichlbach: a ride on a mountain scooter! The speedy scooters await enthusiastic riders at the valley stations of the Almkopfbahn in Bichlbach and the Sonnalmbahn in Berwang. With the respective cable car, you’ll quickly ascend to the starting point of the fun. One, two, three, let’s go! If you wish, you can race down the entire ten kilometers/500 meters of elevation on the forest and asphalt road from Berwang to Bichlbach. A shorter route can also lead down to the valley station of the Sonnalmbahn.
Goats, rabbits, llamas, and even monkeys: they have all found a cozy home in the Animal and Play Park Bichlbach. Some enclosures even come with ladders. A quick climb up, and both children and adults can get close to many animals. Feeding and petting are encouraged: true to this motto, the whole family enjoys fantastic moments in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.
Apart from the thrilling experiences in the animal park, a spacious play area, a fairy tale world, and the largest rocking horse in the world invite pure fun and play.
While mom and dad bask in the sun by the idyllic swimming pond, the kids enjoy plenty of action and adrenaline. Whether it's the Flying Fox, kids' rafting, mini-golf, climbing forest, or playground – boredom is simply not an option in this sports and leisure park!
Burgenwelt Ehrenberg: Here, visitors can explore the experience museum "On the Trail of the Knight" and participate in a museum riddle rally. To make the view and history of Ehrenberg accessible to everyone, two inclined lifts provide comfortable and barrier-free access to the castle ensemble. The first section leads to the Hornwerk with a children's playground, the ruins of Ehrenberg Castle, and Highline 179 – a suspension bridge soaring 114 meters high and stretching 406 meters long. The second section reaches the highest point of Burgenwelt Ehrenberg, the fortress Schlosskopf.
In case of bad weather, the Alpentherme Ehrenberg in Reutte, with its beautiful sauna landscape, invites you to relax. Children will also enjoy the swimming pool with various basins, slides, and a toddler area.
The nearby towns, such as Füssen, Garmisch, or Innsbruck, offer shopping and numerous other activities in case of inclement weather.
